husband jumper
I got a whole ball of yarn knitted up into the husband jumper yesterday, yay!
this morning i did 10 rounds on my sock so that is coming along well too, a lady in the LYS said that about 60 rounds after the cuff was a good amount and it looks like it will be. I am knitting Koigu on 2.25mm needles and it is coming out very nicely, I started out on 3mm and that wasn’t right but as these are for me I have just changed the size and carried on….
Also I manged to tidy the house and do allot of washing so I think I have achieved enough while DH has been away.
sleep
I seem to be prioritising knitting above sleep! that cant be good, I now have 3 different socks cast on….
one cuff down on two circulars in Koigu
one toe up on two circulars in the Knittery’s cashmere and Merino yarn using a tow up method i found on the web, with allot of stitch wrapping.
one toe up in some crap wool I got on eBay using cat bordhi’s Turned toe (I must say I am liking the turned toe).
I am making progress on the husband jumper but not as much as I would like, I have run out of sock needles so at least I cant cast any more on…

Socks
I must stop trying to knit socks and do the husband jumper!!!
I have got nervous about the husband jumper and have got my LYS to put aside some spare balls of yarn for me, so now I have a time pressure to get it done, so I can either pick up or cancel the balls of yarn.
I got a good 30 rows done on my sock last night….
oh dear, I blame “socks and the city” listening to her talk about socks just makes me want to knit them….

like water off a ducks back
Money runs away from me like water off a ducks back.
Buying needles irritates me, it seems like i could go on buying needles for ever and still be unlikely to have the one I need at the time I need it…..
I bought Addi turbos, for sock knitting, but i don’t like the shorter length, so now I have bought knit picks in 2.25 and 2.75 in 60cm, I hope these are going to work for me. I think I should sell the Addi’s i have, but i am sure i wont get my money back on them and as soon as I sell them i will probably need them…. is this the Murphy’s law of knitting?
Finished up the booties last night will go and snap a picture and then post them off.

WIP
I am so busy at the moment, I feel like my whole life is a WIP, which I suppose it is, but I feel like I am currently at a repetitious pattern part, that I don’t care much for.
I am knitting booties for the child of one of the resort staff we met in Fiji. I feel like I have taken too long to do this project so I need to finish them up and post them off ASAP, I am keen to develop my own bootie pattern but I don’t suppose this is the time to do that…
I also need to make progress on the Husband Jumper that hasn’t moved since last week, well it has moved (its been diligently carried about) but I haven’t knit any more of it.
I need a nice 5.5mm bamboo circular to continue my lace on and i cant find any that I like, I feel it needs to be bamboo to hold the yarn, but they just don’t seem to be very sharp, any ideas would be welcome.

Spring
So what did I do on the weekend, I did a smidgen of knitting
(sock in progress, I am really liking the two circulars method, so far…..)
We sold my motorbike, I was never meant to be a rider, I had a crash not long after acquiring this bike, and then lost my nerve, and its not worth the stress to me to persist with it.
I find it hard to quit things, but sometimes you have to make a decision and try to feel ok about the quitting aspect of it.
I went and admired one of my aunts Tulips, they were a beautiful display. There is something I find beautiful about tulips, perhaps it is the colour, perhaps it is their elegance and simplicity.
